I finally did it! This is why I love my online tools(2 links, there) that I use! I can easily look back and see where I was a week or month ago, and it is incredibly inspiring!
I am back at the gym and I pulled off an impressive 10 minutes on the elliptical. I wasn't completely exhausted, either. I am not entirely sure why I didn't push further, but I know I didn't want to hurt myself. I am becoming more and more in tune with my body and don't want to get derailed by being stupid.
I incorporated some of the exercises from P90X yesterday, and it was an intense workout. Loved it! I just need to "man-up" and start doing some push-ups there!
On another note, I accepted a new job on Monday that I am absolutely thrilled about! My pay will increase by about 80% and the benefits are out of this world! It will be so nice to have the extra money and a healthy(ier) body to go along with it!
While the P90X workouts have been awesome, my weight is still the same as it was when I started. My diet hasn't changed, but my level of activity has. I think this might be what's hindering me.
The time away from the house is my solace, so to speak. I love having the music blaring in my ears and sweating my cahones off at the gym. I am not saying that P90X doesn't work, but am saying that it is currently way above my fitness level. I need to be able to go at my own pace with exercises that are familiar to me.
Although "they" swear cardio is bad for you, it has been working for me. In the event that you haven't noticed, there is a very large amount of body fat on my person that needs to be burned off. Cardio will do that for me! Keeping my heart rate up for an hour or so every day, six days per week.
I will start P90X again in a few months when I've burned off a hundred pounds or so, but for now, its back to the gym for this fatso.
Yeah, P90X – Plyometrics kicked our butts today…quite literally. We were only able to make it for 25 minutes!
My original plan was to stick with Disc 1 until Saturday and start Disc 2 (plyometrics) on Sunday. Alas, I was getting totally bored with disc 1 and my heart just wasn't in it. I was to the point of muting the volume and just using my IPOD. One can only listen to the jokes and witty banter for so long!
We have a lot of company coming over this weekend for my daughters birthday celebration, so I am going to have to get up early to be able to workout on Saturday. As it stands now, I probably won't be able to workout on Sunday, but I am hoping I will be able to get one in at some point.
My goals for next week? I MUST get back into the swing of working out every day. I really enjoy P90X, but it's downfall for me is that I crave the gym time. It's kind of a de-stressor, ya know?
I'm really nervous about my weigh-in on Sunday! I've only worked out twice this week, so it is REALLY important to get one in on Friday and Saturday!!!
It is my sincerest wish to drop into the 360's by August 1st, and that's only 9 days away!!!
