I went and screwed up my plan! The original idea was to write an update every day of my first 90 day "run". Yesterday was intense. I was tired by the end of the warm up! But, alas I made it through.
This workout was broken down into two sections:
- This first section consisted of a warm up, then push-ups with varying styles and pull-up doing the same.
- The second section was a reverse of the first, doing everything basically backwards.
I struggled with the decline push-ups only able to squeeze three out. I have to clarify though and tell everyone I was doing all my push-ups on my knees and pull-ups with my right toes on a chair.
Hey, Tony said it was okay!

On to day 2!
Today was a bit better as I was able to squeak out some almost "good form" push-ups, and man do I feel it in my shoulders, arms and chest. Yes!! It's a great feeling!
I've burned a total of 851 calories in exercise in just two days!
My goal is to make it all the way through this initial DVD without stopping by the end of day 7. When I say "stopping" I don't mean for more than 30-45 seconds!
I came across a quote recently, that I thought really applied to me and my situation:
If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month.
- Theodore Roosevelt
How did I ever let myself get so big and out of shape, is a constant thought in my head. It's not a pity thought, or feeling sorry for myself thought, either. It's a driving force behind my every action. It's what kept me from partaking in the gratuity of a local fast food vendor when he dropped off left overs that would have been ridiculously bad for me. It's what keeps me driving on!
I've already had setbacks, and I will have many more, but it's the fact that I get back up again every time that I fall.
